Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey addressed the US economy. Particularly to the inflation that the North American country is suffering and he said that things are going to get considerably worse.

“Hyperinflation is going to change everything. It’s happening,” Dorsey tweeted on October 22.

The tweet comes at a time when the US faces the highest peak of inflation in the last 30 years. In September, inflation grew 5.4% in the US, compared to the previous year, marking the largest increase since 2008, as reported AP.

That same day, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell had acknowledged that inflationary pressures were likely to last “longer than expected.”

Powell added that he hopes the Fed will soon begin to withdraw extraordinary measures aimed at helping the economy that critics say have sparked the inflationary race.

Faced with a comment from a Nigerian netizen who told him that inflation in his country is 16%, Dorsey replied that “it will soon pass in the US and in the world.”
