The Chinese company disputes the summary seizure

Tahiti, October 24, 2021 – The Chinese shipping company Ping Tai Rong Ocean Fishery Group Co on Saturday disputed the seizure by French Polynesia of one of its tuna vessels to ensure payment for the stranding of its tuna vessel landed at Anuanurunga since July latest. A summary will be examined Monday by the court of first instance of Papeete.

The Chinese company Ping Tai Rong Ocean Fishery Group Co has not decided to let it go, after the country’s seizure of one of its tuna vessels in Papeete to secure funding for the landing of its other vessel in Anuanurunga. The shipping company seized the administrative court of an appeal for interim relief – in urgency – hour to hour to contest this decision taken Tuesday by the mixed commercial court of Papeete. The hearing is scheduled for Monday.
