The Business Ombudsman has not been idle. With more than 3,600 requests and requests for mediation, its activity remained sustained in 2022. After a rather stable start to the year, the second half of the year saw an acceleration in requests linked to the surge in energy prices, specifies a press release: “this tense climate has been conducive to a rise in mistrust between economic players”.
In detail, last year, 3,677 requests were received and processed by this organization created in 2010 within Bercy, compared to 5,275 in 2021. This level remains higher than that observed before the Covid crisis (2,342 in 2019). In seven out of ten mediations, an agreement was reached. As a year earlier, the service sector came first among the business sectors concerned (37%), followed by trade (24%).
