The best series of 2022 according to The New York Times

With a little less than a month left until the end of the year, some are looking to find out what were the favorite television and streaming series that made their way through 2022.

For that reason, three film critics considered their options and selected this year’s most recommended series for The NY Times.

The result? Better call Saul It was one of the productions that was named among the experts more than once. And it is that this year the zigzag story of the lawyer Saul Goodman left no one indifferent, behind him a final season that will be difficult for his fans to forget.

Atlanta y Better Things, both FX productions, were also not far behind and were also selected in the most preferred lists. Coincidentally, the three most mentioned shows ended their seasons this 2022.

Apart from the choice of the experts, it must be taken into account that the streaming landscape is constantly changing and can change from one moment to the next.

In previous years, Netflix series dominated a large portion of the critics’ annual picks, but that has changed over time. Today we can find a much more dispersed list, where platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, HBO Max and Apple TV+ also compete with their own series and other purchased series.
