Tampa Bay rushes against Carolina, New York equalizes against Boston

Defending champion, the Tampa Bay Lightning now leads three victories to one against the Carolina Hurricanes, in the quarterfinals of the NHL play-offs. On Saturday, the Florida franchise won again (6-4). Another success and she will qualify for the last four.

Carolina led 4-2, after 33 minutes of play, having scored all four goals in just eight minutes in the second half. But Tampa Bay reacted immediately, scoring three times in the space of five minutes! That is a total of eight goals in one and the same period.

Doubles of Stamkos and Kucherov

Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov each scored twice for the Lightning, while Brayden Point and Tyler Johnson scored the other two goals for Tampa Bay. The two teams will meet next Tuesday in Raleigh, North Carolina, for Game 5.

The New York Islanders have equalized two innings throughout the series between them and the Boston Bruins. The New York State franchise (based in Uniondale, 50 km from New York City) won at home (4-1) on Saturday, with goals from Palmieri, Barzal, Cizikas and Pageau. The two opponents will face off again on Monday, in Boston this time.
