Galaxy Book Pro: Samsungs Premium-Notebook im Hands-on

With the new Galaxy Book series, Samsung is bringing several particularly light and compact notebooks onto the market. This also includes the slim Galaxy Book Pro, which is available from today in two different configurations in Germany. Our colleague Johannes Knapp summarizes all the important technical details again.

Different equipment with the same dimensions

Samsung offers the Galaxy Book Pro in two versions in this country, which are available in the colors silver and blue. Buyers have to choose between a model with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, 256 GB SSD and 8 GB DDR4 RAM and a model with an Intel Core i7-1160G7, 512 GB SSD and 16 GB DDR4 RAM. The latter is also optionally available with an LTE module.

The other features, however, are the same: Both models use the Intel Iris Xe as a mobile graphics chip, have a 63 Wh battery and a backlit keyboard with fingerprint reader and touchpad. Wi-Fi-6, Miracast and Bluetooth 5.1 are also offered.

Despite the 13.3-inch Full HD display, the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro is only 302.5 x 202 x 11.2 millimeters in size. With a weight of only 868 grams, it can also be described as lightweight. The frames around the display are accordingly very thin, but a front camera was also installed here.

Samsung also doesn’t make any major compromises when it comes to connectivity. In addition to HDMI 1.4, a micro SD card slot and a headphone connection, there are also two USB-C and even a classic USB-A port available.
