According to the medical website “Medicforum”, the doctor, nutritionist Gariglio Cleland, explained the great benefits of eggs in losing weight, and enriching the body with useful nutrients, according to the “Sputnik” website.
Lots of protein
Eggs are rich in protein, the building block of muscle, and muscle tissue burns more calories than fat.
A 2010 study compared calorie intake between men who ate breakfast with eggs and those who ate cheesecake. The first group ate 400 fewer calories in the 24 hours after breakfast.
Another reason eggs are a good choice for weight loss is that they are low in calories. A large egg contains only 76 calories. This means that a breakfast of two eggs and wholemeal toast has about 250 calories.
Lots of vitamins
“Eggs are a good source of vitamin D, as a fat-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in weight loss,” says Cleland.
