Lewy vs. Müller record? “He can do it”

He hits and hits and hits! Can Robert Lewandowski break the all-time goal record from Bayern legend Gerd Müller? Team colleague Thomas Müller says: Absolutely!

At 32 he is one of the best players in the world. But Robert Lewandowski’s early days in Germany were slow – until he asked his trainer for an interview.

Sa quota is now assuming incredible proportions. Since Robert Lewandowski moved from Lech Posen to Germany in 2010, he has scored an amazing 362 goals in 487 competitive games and contributed 104 assists for his employers Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

The fact that the world-class attacker delivers consistently season after season is not a matter of course – as the Pole now specifically admits. Due to a difficult start at Borussia Dortmund (in his first season he only scored eight Bundesliga goals), he first needed a clarifying discussion with the then coach Jürgen Klopp to really get going.

After losing 3-0 in the Champions League away game in Marseille on September 28, 2011, he went to see the coach, the Bayern striker recalled in an interview with “Spox” on Wednesday. “We spoke for almost two hours, I told him what was on my mind – and he explained to me what he expected from me.”

After the interview with Klopp, “everything worked better”. “I needed this conversation,” Lewandowski recalled. “I was very young and lived abroad for the first time in my life. I have not yet spoken the language perfectly and accordingly I have not understood everything he said to me. But that didn’t matter, it was necessary to clarify the situation. We won the next game 4-0 against Augsburg, I scored a hat trick and put on a goal. ”At the end of the season he scored 22 times for BVB in the Bundesliga – a considerable increase.

What is really important to Lewandowski

Apparently he no longer needs such discussions. Its numbers speak for themselves. However, goals and assists are not as important to him as he explains. “I am of course happy about my records, but in the end we are only talking about numbers that are not really decisive. For me it is important how many titles we win. I look at that, because all these goals are not worth much without a title. “

If his goals contribute to “that we win titles, the ideal case has occurred. In this regard, however, I also have to say that not only the hits scored play a major role, but also the templates. That promotes team spirit ”.

He’s always working to improve his game. “But I have already contributed a few templates before, only people weren’t so interested in these statistics,” said the 32-year-old. “You always focused on the goals. The actions that lead to the goals, including the game without the ball, are just as important for the success of the team. I often miss that in the public eye. “

The last minute goal for Liverpool was withdrawn after the video assistant’s decision because of an extremely close offside position.

Klopp reacted angrily to the offside decision after the final whistle. “I didn’t see any offside. But maybe someone can explain it to me. It wasn’t offside in the TV pictures I saw, “said Liverpool coach.

Jan Böhmermann attacks “FAZ” editor – dispute over interview escalates

Böhmermann publishes the controversial “FAZ” interview on Twitter

| Reading time: 2 minutes

Why doesn’t the “FAS” publish a Böhmermann interview?

Jan Böhmermann is said to have given the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung” a major interview that editor Jürgen Kaube is said to have deleted from the paper. Böhmermann wants to force a statement, the “FAS” has not yet commented.

The “Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung” apparently withdrew an interview with the entertainer and activist Jan Böhmermann shortly before the publication. Now Böhmermann tweeted angrily – and complained in a public letter.

Bhe “Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung” is currently getting a lot of newsprint. A week ago, the features editor Claudius Seidl was dismissed, now editor Jürgen Kaube is said to have canceled an interview with the entertainer and activist Jan Böhmermann.

A publication was planned with the editors last Sunday. His book publisher Kiepenheuer & Witsch has now informed him that the interview was deleted from the paper by Kaube himself a few hours before it was printed. “I’ve really never seen anything like this before,” tweeted Böhmermann. He attached an open letter with which he now wants to force a statement from Kaube – then Böhmermann published the controversial interview via Twitter.

The letter also contains an instruction from Kaubes, according to which the interview “should under no circumstances be published”. A request from the ZDF moderator for a written statement has not yet been met, writes Böhmermann.

Böhmermann is currently on a promo tour for his Twitter diary “Followed by nobody you follow”. On August 25th, Böhmermann conducted what he said was a “big, really exciting interview”. It was about cancel culture, right-wing extremism in the discourse and topics to smile about, writes Böhmermann in the letter.

In further tweets, the 39-year-old describes how he stood on potted plants and made faces for the photographer for the Sunday newspaper. If someone interviewed him and then a supervisor decided not to publish the interview, he wanted to know at least one reason, according to Böhmermann.

The tweets from Böhmermann about the interview do not allow any conclusions to be drawn as to why it was deleted. For example, the “FAS” asks: “Is there actually a recipe for a successful tweet? Do you spend a long time working on your punch lines? ”Böhmermann replies:“ I recently wrote something like ‘Hegel is cool’, which was quite successful. But I don’t know why. “
