Kate Beckinsale has revealed she has never had any cosmetic surgery because she is fearful that something might go wrong.
The 47-year-old actress was speaking during a new interview – admitting also that she isn’t completely against having work, despite her fears.
She told The Sunday Times that she knows that her mother’s voice would pop up in her head if it went wrong and tell her she ‘told her so’ – and admitted she gets frustrated with the resounding assumption that she has gone under the knife thanks to her ageless appearance.
‘I’m frightened of paralysing my face!’ Kate Beckinsale, 47, has revealed she has NEVER had cosmetic surgery and hopes that she ends up looking like her mother, 74, who is ‘f**king radiant’
She told the publication: ‘I haven’t had any [cosmetic work]! I’m not against people having it. [But] I do get p**sed off. It’s sort of a given that I’ve had it, which I just literally haven’t.
‘I’m frightened of paralysing my face. My mum’s voice is in my head, very loud, at all times. My mum wouldn’t even get a facial, she is suspicious of anything like that, and looks f**king radiant and amazing.
‘I know if I did do Botox, I’d be the one that would get the droopy eye, and my mum would go, “I f**king told you! See? You should never do that”.’
Kate’s mother is 74-year-old actress Judy Loe, the widow of Kate’s father, Rising Damp star Richard Beckinsale, who died in 1979 of a heart attack aged just 31.

When asked about whether the ageing process ever crosses her mind, Kate said she isn’t worried, as her family all seem to look younger than they are.
Kate added that because her father died so young, she came to realise that people can pass on at any age and so realised she shouldn’t put so much pressure on her age.
However, she also admitted that she does work out five to six times a week to maintain her physique.
Elsewhere in the interview, Kate revealed that she has stopped caring about what other people in the film industry think about the way she looks.
Kate said: ‘I know if I did do Botox, I’d be the one that would get the droopy eye, and my mum would go, “I f*****g told you! See? You should never do that!”‘
Cautious: Kate admitted that she does work out five to six times a week to maintain her physique
She admitted that, as a fledgling actress, if people perceive you to be attractive then it can act as a stepping stone; but she quickly added that professional actresses need to be able to make their selling point more than just their looks otherwise they get put into a box.
Kate also said she laments the constant demand placed on women’s appearances, as it leaves many people wondering where the ‘sweet spot’ is.
She concluded that the best way to approach the subject is to accept yourself for who you are and forget about what other people think.
During the interview, Kate also touched upon her active approach to her Instagram account.
And as recently as Friday, she got very cosy with her dogs in some sweet beach snapshots posted on the image-sharing platform.

She rocked a chic black and white bikini as she gazed into the distance with one pup in her lap and another standing behind her.
Kate, who let her brunette locks sweep down in tousled waves, captioned the first wistful shot saying: ‘Don’t mind us.’
But in the next post she got a bit cheeky, seen while one of her dogs tried to give her a smooch.
‘That escalated quickly,’ the Underworld star joked in the caption.
