It’s a bit like thunder on a hot summer day. It’s predicted and you know it’s coming, but when exactly, no idea. This also happened with the takeover of T-Mobile in the Netherlands. One of the owners, Deutsche Telekom, had already said that T-Mobile Netherlands was in the shop window. This week it was time. Owners Telekom and Tele2 announced a deal with Apax and Warburg Pincus worth 5.1 billion euros.

Nothing will change for customers, says T-Mobile now, but will that also be the case? What kind of companies are these and why are they so eager to buy T-Mobile Netherlands? Will the name remain T-Mobile if Telekom is no longer the owner? We try to find answers to those questions.
