the essentials in brief
- Three Swiss people presented a special electric wheelchair.
- The lions are convinced of the idea.
- However, the founding trio asked for too high a sum.
During the last episode of “Die Höhle der Löwen”, three founders from Switzerland presented a special electric wheelchair.
The trio called it the “coolest electric wheelchair in the world” and described their invention as the “Tesla among wheelchairs”.
When the wheelchair extended its caterpillars to climb a flight of stairs, Dagmar Wöhrl wondered if this was a science fiction film. The lions were enthusiastic about the invention of the Swiss.
“The lion’s den”: sum too high, percent too small
Although all the lions were enthusiastic about the electric wheelchair, the founders were unable to secure a deal.
They demanded five million euros with a ten percent stake offer. «I would like to be part of your trip, but the amount is beyond the scope for me. I can’t put that much money into a single startup, ”said Nico Rosberg.
Carsten Maschmeyer also decided against a deal and justified his decision: “You have built a Rolls-Royce but there are only a few Rolls-Royce drivers in the wheelchair segment.”
