He is a soprano and studied piano. She was third finalist in the Miss Jewel of the World (2019), held in the Philippines. She passed a professional English course in Cambridge, England, in 2015. In addition, she has dabbled in professional makeup and modeling.
A few minutes after the coronation, Susy told the press that during her reign she will promote her social project Window of Life, that seeks to generate public awareness about visual health and thus prevent glaucoma. “My whole family was here (supporting me), as well as all the staff from the eye clinic that works with me in Portoviejo, Santo Domingo and Guayaquil. They all danced with a pennant in their hands as a thank you to the city that hosted them as the venue for the beauty pageant. The song was performed by Quevedeño singers Danilo Sanz and María Belén Kahil.

The jury selected ten finalists: Génesis Guerrero, Henner Valdez, Karla Romero, Katherine Hidrovo, Melanie Rubio, Nayeska García, Paulette Morales, Susy Sacoto, Valeria Gutiérrez and Valery Carabalí.
