Two pensioners from Trieste, who went on a mountain hike in the Paularo area in the province of Udine on Sunday, crossed the Italian-Austrian border and spent the night in the Zollnerseehütte at the foot of the Hoher Trieb at an altitude of 1750 meters. They were brought to safety by the Friuli Alpine Rescue Service, which had worked with the Carinthian Mountain Rescue Service and the police in Thörl Maglern to search for them.
