Healthy nutrition has a positive impact on a child’s mental health, according to a recent study conducted by the British University of East Anglia on nearly 9,000 children in terms of happiness, ability to relax, personal relationships and problematic family relationships.
The results of the study showed that children who ate five or more servings of fruits and vegetables a day, scored higher than their peers who did not eat these portions.
For its part, the German Association of Pediatricians and Adolescents indicated that a 6-year-old child needs 230 grams of vegetables and 210 grams of fruit per day. At the age of 13, the body needs 320 grams of vegetables and 300 grams of fruit for girls, 390 grams of vegetables and 360 grams of fruit for boys.
