A black bear that was stuck in a rented car in Tennessee was found dead late in the day by authorities.
Stationed in Sevierville, just north of a national park, the bear reportedly managed to open the car door with its paws or teeth before locking itself in.
During the day, the thermometer read more than 95 degrees Fahrenheit, which means that inside the vehicle, it could be close to 140 degrees.
Authorities said the heat was most likely the cause of death.
