According to the Hanoi Health Department, the city had 175 cases of dengue in the first six months of the year compared to 246 in the same period of 2021 (excluding the main town of Son Tây). During this time, the city recorded a case of swine strep, a case of Japanese encephalitis, and a death from rabies. No cases of monkeypox (monkeys) or acute hepatitis of unknown cause in children in Vietnam. In particular, the number of foot-and-mouth disease cases rose to 968, compared to the same period in 2021 (186 cases).

The city also carried out 633 environmental sanitation campaigns to kill mosquito larvae and 21 chemical spraying campaigns. At the same time, training for medical staff was organized to improve their skills in the surveillance, diagnosis and treatment of dengue fever and hand-mouth-clausy.
