Stephen A Smith: “Kyrie Irving wants a guaranteed 4-year contract? This is nonsense – Basketball

ESPN pundit Steven A Smith criticized Brooklyn point guard Kyrie Irving for potential contract extension terms with the team.

“This is ridiculous. The guy has missed 127 matches (123 – approx. Sports.ru) over the past three seasons and he believes he deserves a four-year extension with a full guarantee. And that’s on top of the $36.5 million he’ll take next season. I mean what a wit he is, so much bile. This is bullshit talk. He is the same dude, this is the real Kyrie Irving,” said Smith.

Until June 29, Irving must decide on the option to extend the contract for the 2022/23 season with a salary of $36.9 million. Previously reportedthat the declarer may opt out of this option and sign a new agreement in the free agent market.

Kyrie made just 29 appearances last season due to his refusal to vaccinate. The player averaged 27.4 points, 5.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.

Kairi is a basketball genius. Only for him it’s not a sport, but an art
