This evening had an aftermath for Stefan Mross (47) …
As BILD learned exclusively, the district court of Leipzig issued a penalty order against the singer and moderator. Because Mross hit a man in the Penta Hotel on May 1, 2022.
A spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office confirms BILD: “Investigations were carried out into the allegation of bodily harm in combination with attempted coercion. As a result of these investigations, there was sufficient suspicion.” And: “The penalty order was issued on November 8, 2022 by the Leipzig District Court.”
Since Mross did not appeal, there was no court hearing. The penalty order has been final since November 29, 2022.
In addition to his ARD show “Always Sundays”, Mross also gives concerts
How much Mross had to pay is unclear. It’s less than 90 daily rates. According to the public prosecutor’s spokeswoman, the TV star still has a criminal record and is entered in the federal central register.
How come? Mross describes his version exclusively in BILD!
The folk music star: “I arrived at the ‘Penta Hotel’ around 10:30 p.m. The next day I had a performance near Leipzig. I wanted to eat something, sat down in the restaurant. A young guy came up to me, no more than 25 years old.”
The incident happened in Leipzig’s “Penta Hotel”. The standard room costs about 100 euros per night
He immediately insulted him. “He called me a ‘schlager fuzzi’ and ‘playback artist’. I had never seen him before. It was like this all the time. Still, I ignored him.”
He left the hotel restaurant around 1:30 a.m. “When I took the elevator to the first floor to go to my room, the man followed me. I didn’t think that was harmless, after all I was alone and had no idea what the guy wanted from me. He called me names, made fun of me again.”
Then Mross did it! “Just outside my room I grabbed his shirt collar. He immediately called the police. The officers were there within five minutes. He claimed I hit him and he felt pressure in his chest.”
The moderator asserts: “The probability that I’ll do something like this is zero. But the guy really got on my nerves. The horses simply ran away with me. I’m not proud of that.”
Anna-Carina Woitschack was still with Mross at the time, but was not in Leipzig on the evening of the crime
When the police officers took the ad, the man stood by and laughed. Mross is certain: “He clearly intended that I freak out. I didn’t sleep all night, but then I couldn’t help it.”
That’s why he accepted the penalty order. “I didn’t want to go to court over a jerk like that.”
