THE PEAT HEAP – After two years of no Veenhoop festival, the festival erupted in full force on Friday evening. And not with the least on stage. None other than Status Quo played to a sold-out tent. The 55-year-old band also played at the festival 30 years ago.

Well-known hits were already Down Down, Rockin all over the world and Whatever you want passed in review. A number of band members who have already passed their 70s played an hour and a half full of energy.

Saturday night Miss Montreal and Direct will play at the festival. De Hûnekop and the Dirty Daddies will play on the popular and sold-out Sunday afternoon. The party weekend will conclude on Monday evening with an Irish theme featuring Dublin Legends and Scrum.
