A group of researchers specialized in space and star science revealed strange movements of flocks of stars in the Milky Way, indicating a “global battle” in the distant past.

According to scientists, these stars move in a strange way, contrary to the movement of other stars in the Milky Way, while all the stars revolve around the center of the Milky Way, these rogue stars, as scientists called them, revolve around each other in a zigzag spiral that has become more entangled in Recent periods.

“We have noticed these suspicious moves,” said researcher at the University of Barcelona’s ICCUB Institute, Theresa Antuga, and added, “These movements confirm to us that the Milky Way has undergone a huge and important upheaval in the past.”

Scientist Antuga and her team noticed signs of a “scar confirming a global battle” while studying the star data map, according to the specialized scientific newspaper Lifecience.

The map was collected based on data collected by the European Space Agency’s “Gaia” satellite, providing a more detailed picture of the Milky Way galaxy to date.

The researchers noted in their research a group of stars in the galactic disk rotating in a different pattern from its neighbors, and researchers expect that this imbalance is caused by “damage to the galaxy or a cosmic battle”, in reference to an inter-galaxy collision, or any such defect.

The researchers used the velocity and location data of more than 6 million stars in the galaxy to decode the spiral code of the Milky Way in a mathematical way through computers, which confirmed that this “global battle” had occurred between 300 million and 900 million years in the past.

According to the researchers, one of the possible explanations is that a smaller galaxy invaded and entered the Milky Way galaxy at some point during that period, which led to a major imbalance of gravity within the Milky Way galaxy, which caused wrong movements and malfunctions of some stars, which are remnants The Attacking Galaxy.

Scientists suspect that the arc galaxy, which is the closest galaxy to ours, is a “potential suspect” of this major imbalance.

Previous research indicates that the arc galaxy did indeed approach the disk of the Milky Way galaxy between about 200 million and 1 billion years ago, a period that includes this mysterious disturbance in stars.
