The character creation It is the first challenge that any player faces in role-playing video games and the process is especially complex when it comes to the first time. Starfield offers a fairly complex and varied level of customization, spanning physical appearance, background, and traits.
Before recommending which ones are the best according to your style of play, it is necessary to establish the concepts: what is the background?, what are the traits? the background is the character’s story, what it has been up to now and what are its specializations. the traits are true positive and negative qualities that define important aspects of the character’s personality.
Backgrounds and traits according to our style of play
There is a total of 19 backgrounds y 17 traits. We can only choose one background and three traits, the latter in turn can block other options to establish some consistency. For example: we cannot be extroverted if we choose to be introverted and vice versa.
It is very important that you take your time to think about what you are going to choose. The character’s background not only affects the base abilities, but also the prejudices that certain people will have when you introduce yourself and that can be both advantages and disadvantages. On the other hand, traits will greatly condition how we interact with other people and the world.
We can divide backgrounds into three groups: action, negotiation and trade y explorer. Each group responds to certain playstyles. Based on this classification you can get an idea of what yours is.
