On Monday afternoon, the Appenzell Ausserhoden canton police carried out a speed control on the Urnäsch – Schwägalp route. During the control period, 16 vehicle drivers passed the measuring point at a reduced speed, 13 could be dealt with in the order fines procedure and 2 drivers were brought to the display.
A 55-year-old driver passed the measuring point at a speed of 160 km / h. This exceeded the permissible maximum speed after deducting the tolerance by 75 km / h.
The responsible driver could be stopped and questioned. The driver’s license was taken away for the administrative authority on the spot. He will also be reported to the Appenzell Ausserrhoden public prosecutor’s office.
