Movie & Series | Soko Kitzbuehel
Red wine
At the final of the international “Trophee du Cabernet” in Kitzbühel, where the Australian Frank Kempen (Gerd Böckmann), the owner of a worldwide wine empire, Jacques Bellbleu (Johann Adam Oest) from Bordeaux and Christoph Hohenfels (Christian Spatzek), Weinviertler Weinhauer, take part, a poison attack is carried out on the winner of the competition, Bellbleu. When shortly afterwards a second finalist is the target of an attack, the Soko is faced with a complex case of highly topical conflicts between the advocates of traditional and industrial methods of wine production. It’s about the latest industrial cellar techniques, about the approval of fractionated wines, that is, wines broken down into their flavor components and then artificially reassembled, the “hostile takeover” of threatened wineries all over the world – and murder.
