Snow has disrupted movement in northern and central Wales.

In Powys, the A458 is closed in both directions, with heavy traffic due to the snow between the A490 Welshpool and the B4395 Llangadfan.

Police in North Wales warned of "dangerous" conditions on the A470 Bwlch Oerddrws at Gwynedd.

Snowdonia, Wrexham, Llangollen and Mold are among the areas affected by snowfall.

Meanwhile, in England, severe flood warnings and rail cancellations persist in many areas after the rain lasted a month in a day.

Other roads affected by snow include:

  • A470 Dolgellau to Mallwyd
  • A458 Llanfair Caereinion to Welshpool
  • A483 Newtown to Berriew

BBC Wales forecaster Derek Brockway said the rain was spreading across Wales with snow in other regions.

Network Rail, for its part, said that the signaling problems between Deganwy and Penmaenmawr were affecting trains in North Wales, the carrier for Wales providing bus replacement services.
