Snow covers eastern Spain in white

Catalonia and the Valencian Community, surprised by copious snowfalls

The snow has had its indisputable role this Tuesday in the Mediterranean area. It has been seen in the early hours in elevations between 100 and 300 meters from the northeast of Cataloniaa, especially in Barcelona and its metropolitan area and in the regions of Valls and Girona, as well as in some mountain neighborhoods of the Catalan capital, although for the moment it has hardly taken hold.

The night snowfalls in the Valencian Community have left the frozen fields in Venta del Moro. The cold has reached 11 degrees below zero in the Sierra de Mariola natural parkin Banyeres, Alicante.

For this Wednesday, the snow level rises slightly. Being in the Balearic Islands at around 900/1,100 meters; in the Cantbrica, upper Ebro and north of the Ibrico system at 800/1,000 meters and in the north of Navarra at 800/1,000 meters, descending to 400/600 meters.

There is a low probability of snowfall in the mountains of the Valencian Community and the south of the Ibrico System, which could be at 500/700 meters and in the Central System at 800/1,000 meters.
