A smartwatch called emergency services to a motionless, fallen woman in Hamburg-Winterhude – and thus possibly prevented worse.

On Thursday, the watch sent the message: “One person fell badly and does not respond to the message”. This was announced by the fire department on Friday. The rescue workers then found the apartment with the transmitted coordinates and saw a motionless person lying there through the letter slot. The woman was stabilized with resuscitation measures and taken to a hospital.
