With the Smart Monitor series, Samsung launched a hybrid monitor for the first time in November 2020 for the work-life blending that has prevailed since the pandemic: The displays combine the functions of a business monitor with the functions of a Smart TV.
According to Samsung, the hybrid desktop displays are particularly suitable for students and professionals who want to work or study on a single device and enjoy entertainment after work. The smart monitors offer integrated media and productivity apps, versatile connection options and built-in speakers. Even if not primarily designed for digital signage use, the smart hybrid displays with the integrated Tizen platform and remote PC function are also suitable for small signage solutions.
“Lots of people all over the world spend a lot of time on their screens at home – working, learning and playing,” says Michael Vorberger, Head of B2B & B2C Sales, Professional Display Solutions & Consumer Displays at Samsung Electronics GmbH. “The Smart Monitor is our technological answer to a life in which work and leisure go hand in hand and living and working spaces merge. With the expanded lineup, we offer additional size and design variants for different requirements. “
