Offspring at Lindsey Vonn (37)! The ski legend reports on Instagram: “The pack has grown!” And: “We now have an incredible protector again and we are so grateful.”
This means Jade, Vonn’s new dog. She just lost her beloved Chow Retriever Bear at the beginning of the year. “He’s been my protector since I saved him.” Unfortunately, Bear lost his battle with cancer at the age of eight. “He was a fighter and a brave boy to the end,” Vonn said at the time.
So now there are three of them again, the dogs of the American: Brindle Boxer Leo, Tricolor Cavalier Lucy and the Malinois bitch Jade. Dogs play a big role in Vonn’s life. “Our connection is somehow special,” she said some time ago. The four-legged friends helped her through difficult times, through times when she was struggling with injuries.
Vonn: “Everything gets better with dogs”
The 37-year-old, who retired in 2019 as one of the most successful skiers of all time, wants to keep fit with Jade. The two can be seen on a video – Vonn lifts weights, Jade supports them. “Everything gets better with dogs, even the training,” writes Vonn.
After the effort there is a cool down in the pool. The young bitch is still a bit afraid of water. “The only Malinois who doesn’t like to swim.” But Vonn is certain: “We will make it!” (mum)
