Auer switched from Admira to Rapid in 2015 and now has to look for a new club after 132 competitive appearances. “He was a very valuable player for us, who was used in many positions and also acted positively in the spirit of the team spirit even in phases in which he was not part of the regular staff,” sports director Zoran Barisic is quoted in a press release. “I can assure you that he will always be a welcome guest with us in Hütteldorf.” According to Courier there is a change to St. Pölten in the room.
While the future of Andrija Pavlovic, Deni Alar and Dejan Ljubicic has not yet been clarified in the professional squad, there are two new players for the new season in the Hütteldorfer youth team.
New midfielder for Rapid II
The transfer of U18 top scorer Bernhard Zimmermann was announced a few weeks ago. Now Arben Kokollari also comes to Rapid II. The midfielder leaves Team Wiener Linien and changes internally to the Hütteldorfer.
“A player that we had on the radar for a long time. Despite his young age, he already had some experience in the Regionalliga Ost and in the youth team,” said Willi Schuldes, sporting director of the rapid youth team about the 17-year-old.
The contract with Martin Moormann was extended until summer 2022. The 19-year-old left-back defended his Matura in early summer and developed into an important pillar for Rapid II.
“Martin has made tremendous progress since moving to Rapid and is well on the way to becoming a professional squad,” Praise Schuldes, who also tied U18 captain Moritz Oswald to the club until 2022.
