A wedding like no other. The singer Hugues Aufray married this Saturday, at the age of 94, his companion Murielle Mégevand, forty-five years his junior. Dressed in a black fringed jacket and cowboy boots, as the story goes Paris Matchthe artist was able to count on the presence of his family and friends, such as Jean-Luc Reichmann, Dave and Renaud.

The ceremony took place at the Saint-Vigor church in Marly-le-Roi (Yvelines) with a special soundtrack: between the prayers, pieces interpreted by Hugues Aufray were broadcast in the church.

A release of doves

After a civil wedding in the early afternoon, the bride and groom said “yes” at 5 p.m. Paris Match, before attending the release of doves on the forecourt. The party ended at the semi-gastronomic “Le 78”, in Louveciennes.

For the record, the two lovers met in a TGV 28 years ago, reports Paris Match. And even though the singer has only been a widower for eleven months, according to Galahe has lived for many years alongside Murielle in her house in Marly-le-Roi.
