The socialite gave her firstborn the name of Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum.
Paris Hilton reveals her baby’s name. Recently, the famous heiress and husband Carter Reum announced that they had become parents for the first time, via surrogate mother.
During the latest episode of the “This Is Paris” podcast, the star revealed that she named her son Phoenix. “My beautiful little boy is named Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum,” the 42-year-old said. «He is perfect and it is wonderful to be a mother».
Paris then read an excerpt from her forthcoming autobiography, titled “Paris,” in which she details the meaning of the baby’s name.
“Hopefully, by the time you read this page, Carter and I will be parents to a baby boy, who we would like to name Phoenix, a name I decided on a few years ago while looking up cities, towns, and states on a map, looking for something whether it went well with Paris or London,” he shared. “Phoenix has some good reference points with popular culture, but more importantly, it is reborn from the ashes and then rises to fly again.”
Fascinated by the meaning of the name Phoenix
Paris admits she’s intrigued by the meaning of the name Phoenix. “I want my son to grow up knowing that joys and sorrows will alternate throughout his life and this should give us great hope for the future,” she continued. “Even when the past is painful and the present seems to go ap***, it’s strange how two such different, completely opposite ideas can coexist in this way. But that’s how it is: Freedom and suffering, joy and pain, love and loss.”
The middle name, Barron, is instead a tribute to his grandfather and mentor Barron Hilton, who died at the age of 91 in 2019. «I have always admired my grandfather, we had a very close relationship and I miss him every day, so I wanted to pay homage to him by giving his name to my first son.’
Paris and Carter have been married since November 2021.
