Security video captures shooting in the Certenejas de Cidra neighborhood that left five dead | Univision Puerto Rico WLII

A security camera captured the moments before, during and after a shooting in Cidra that left five dead and one injured.

The events occurred Tuesday night outside the La Lomita business in the Certenejas neighborhood, in Cidra, a municipality located south of San Juan.

The shooting occurred around 11:49 pm, while around 40 people were inside the premises celebrating the merchant’s birthday.

Images of the bloody shooting were captured by a security camera outside the store.

The eleventh massacre of 2021

As the police informed a local newspaper, the shot men are linked to two recent murders committed in that town. All of them were armed and repelled the attack. Nearly 200 bullet casings were found at the site.

Among the victims, police said, is Jonathan O’Neill Ortiz Castrodad, nicknamed Onyx, 27, who had a record of attempted murder and violations of the Gun Law. He was one of the most wanted men in Puerto Rico.

This is the eleventh massacre this year. In total, these 11 massacres have left a total of 35 victims.
