SCT debate: Which vehicles is it applied to?

The last communiqué of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance Revenue Administration on SCT came into effect after being published in the Official Gazette. With the arrangement made in the general communiqué on the implementation of the SCT (II) list, the President was given the authority to increase the lower and upper limits of the motor vehicle SCT rates and bases up to 3 times and to reduce them to zero.

CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu stated that they would apply the SCT only on luxury vehicles when they came to power and called for “postpone the purchase of cars until we come to power”.
