Salzburg – After Linz, the city of Salzburg is now also reducing the lighting in public buildings, churches and monuments. From August 1st, the so-called irradiation time will be reduced by one hour for 32 properties – most of which are located in the old town – in order to set an example for energy savings. In addition, the city started to convert lights and masts to LED lamps back in 2013 – more than 2,350 light points have already been replaced.
