Fans of Samuel L. Jackson’s charismatic Nick Fury can look forward to it: It looks like an MCU series for Disney + is currently in the works.
Warning: Spoilers for “Spider-Man: Far From Home” will follow!
Had it gone according to the original plans, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, former director of the disbanded organization SHIELD, would have been killed in “Avengers: Infinity War” by Corvus Glaive. The fact that it didn’t get that far must have to do with the fact that Marvel Studios has planned another important role for Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Jackson was most recently seen in “Spider-Man: Far From Home”. In the post-credits scenes, however, it was revealed that it wasn’t Fury that the audience saw, but a Skrull disguised as Fury. The real Fury, however, was aboard a Skrull ship somewhere in space. What he was doing there was not revealed.

The still open plan for Nick Fury could now be revealed: As Variety reports, a spin-off series for Nicholas Joseph Fury Sr. for Disney’s own streaming service Disney + is currently being worked on. And Jackson should slip back into his traditional role. It is not yet known what this series will be about and especially when it will be set in time.

Numerous MCU series in the making for Disney +
With the still untitled “Nick Fury” series, there are now a total of ten (!) MCU series in work for Disney +, if you include “Helstrom”, which dates from the time of Marvel Television. Still in December 2020 “WandaVision” is to start with Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda) and Paul Bettany (Vision). With the sitcom setting in the style of the 1950s, this is likely to be the most unusual of all upcoming MCU series.
Originally, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” with Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson aka Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier) should have been the first MCU series. However, the start date in August 2020 has been postponed to 2021 due to the corona crisis.
In addition, fans can look forward to the following MCU series: “Loki” with Tom Hiddleston, “Hawkeye” with Jeremy Renner, “Ms. Marvel “,” Moon Knight “and” She-Hulk “with Tatiana Maslany. With “What If …?” There is also an animation series for the streaming service. So it will be interesting to see what will follow.
Nick Fury didn’t have to bless the temporal. These other MCU characters, however, do. Do you also know how?
