Samsung Neo QLED QN95B Review

Summarized

The Neo QLED QN95B is Samsung’s 4k top model for 2022, which is still positioned above the S95B with QD-oled. The TV particularly shines with its extremely high brightness, ideal for those who like to watch in a well-lit room. Thanks to the fine-meshed mini LED backlight, the contrast is also good, although the TV has to recognize its multiple in competing OLED models.

It’s that time again: summer has begun! And with summer comes a recurring experience for many of us: the light in the living room is actually too bright to enjoy watching TV. Samsung’s top model from the 4k range, the Samsung Neo QLED QN95B, may offer a solution. This TV promises high light output and high contrast, thanks to an improved mini LED backlight, a wide color gamut, extensive gaming features and an extensive sound system.

The Samsung Neo QLED QN95B is a further developed version of last year’s Samsung Neo QLED QN95A. Many specifications match and the new model also uses an external One Connect Box. However, important features have been added, such as support for Bluetooth 5.2 and Dolby Atmos. Major changes have also been made to the foot and rear design.

The QN95B is available in multiple sizes. For this review, we’re looking at the 55″ model, but the TV is also available in 65″, 75″ and 85″. The suggested retail prices are spicy, ranging from 2699 euros for the 55 “model to 5999 euros for the 85″ version. Fortunately, we see lower starting prices in the Pricewatch: 1800 euros for the 55″ model and 4360 euros for the 85” version at the time of publication. That is still a lot of money, but comparable to the high-end (OLED) televisions of the competition. Samsung also has an OLED television in its program for the first time this year: the Samsung OLEDS95B, which uses new QD OLED panels. Although many manufacturers position OLED at the top of their model series, Samsung places the QN95B discussed in this review above the OLEDS95B. We have not yet tested the latter, but we hope to change that soon.
