Smartphones like those of Samsung Galaxy can do a lot these days. But quite a few of them attach great importance to the best possible camera. Because taking selfies and other types of photos is just part of normal everyday life for many – so the snapshots should look all the better. In this regard, a new app is designed to provide even more convenience and quality. This is actually an in-house development with the latest technology.
Samsung Galaxy: New photo app with AI support
At least that’s what Sammobile is reporting. Accordingly, the South Korean tech giant has released the Galaxy Enhance-X app for its Samsung Galaxy phones. It works from Android 10 and is available in the Galaxy Store.
This should make bad photos a thing of the past. In order to ensure the best results, artificial intelligence is used, which is already used in PicsArt, Adobe Lightroom or Snapseed, among others.
How Galaxy Enhance-X works
With the help of AI, the app evaluates photos taken on the cell phone and analyzes them for imperfections. Unsharpness and unwanted reflections can be quickly and easily recognized and eliminated.
In addition, the AI should also be able to upscale and sharpen the resolution, improve the dynamics and brighten photos if they were taken in poor lighting conditions. Face enhancements and special modes for portrait photos should not be missing, as well as repair options for the so-called moiré effect.
