She passed away in the early hours of this morning, Salma Al-Zarqa, after a several-year struggle with cancer.

And Salma wrote on her personal page on “Facebook”, last Thursday, “Pray for me, please, please pray for me, I am in a very serious condition.”

Salma Al-Zarqa was diagnosed with bone cancer 6 years ago, and caused her arm to be amputated, so she replaced it with a prosthetic arm.

The funeral prayer is scheduled to take place, after the afternoon prayer, today, at the Al-Muwasat and Al-Dafna Mosque in Al-Manara, the last gate, in Alexandria Governorate.

Salma was diagnosed with bone cancer about 6 years ago, which caused her arm to be amputated, and about 10 months ago her condition relapsed after complications from leukemia and a bone marrow transplant, but fate was faster in her death.

It was one of the most famous fights against cancer for her followers to give them hope, “I’m fighting for my life.” After the amputation, she said that bone cancer could not defeat her, nor did she lose her arm. After that, she insisted that she finish her master’s degree and was keen to learn to write using the left hand in order to discuss her doctorate.

Through this latest publication, Salma expressed her sadness that she was unable to attend the graduation ceremony for receiving a master’s degree, which she has been working on for 6 years.
