Russian Foreign Minister Serguei Lavrov called on the OTAN and the United States to stop sending weapons to Ukraine if they are really interested in resolving the crisis between the two countries, at war since February 24.
In an interview published by the Chinese state news agency Xinhua, Lavrov said that the Russian offensive in Ukraine is proceeding “according to plan.”
“A continuous flow of armas of all kinds enters Ukraine through Poland and other NATO countries,” Lavrov lamented, adding: “If United States and NATO are really interested in solving the Ukrainian crisis, the first thing they need to do is wake up and stop sending arms and ammunition to the kyiv regime.”
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that it is using submarines in the Black Sea to carry out cruise missile strikes against Ukrainian targets.
“The crew of a diesel-electric submarine of the Black Sea Fleet launched a salvo of Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea against the military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the Russian government said on Telegram.
