Russia predicted to be banned from the 2024 Olympics

President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner-Usmanova said in an interview with TASS that it is unlikely that after the completion of the special operation in Ukraine, Russian athletes will be returned access to international competitions.

“Today I heard the phrase that when the special operation ends, the sanctions will be lifted. This is another talk to nowhere, and now we are talking about postponing the World University Games. 2024, because there is also the European Championship and the selection for the Olympic Games – 2024 ahead.

Russian athletes still “somehow manage” without international tournaments, but skipping the Olympics will be a problem.

“It would all be funny if it weren’t so sad, but this puppet theater continues. This is exactly the theater in which, as our great poet Alexander Green wrote, the defendants become judges,” Wiener said.

Recall that on the eve of the executive committee of the International University Sports Federation announced the suspension of the right of Yekaterinburg to host the Summer Universiade next year. At the same time, they assured that “no one selects the competitions” – they will simply be assigned other terms.
