Romain Grosjean second on the Nashville IndyCar GP grid

Delayed by an hour and a half due to violent storms in Nashville, the qualification for the 14th round of the IndyCar season was dominated by New Zealander Scott McLaughlin (Penske), who signed his second pole of the season after the successful one in St-Petersburg at the start of the season.

It is also in Florida, at the end of February, that Romain Grosjean had signed his best qualification, with a fifth place. Since then, the Andretti driver, who currently occupies 14th place in the Championship, had struggled to express himself at the wheel of his yellow single-seater. But setting changes allowed him to regain his feelings on this Nashville circuit, where he narrowly failed in the quest for a second pole in IndyCar.

Simon Pagenaud will start from 13th position on Sunday evening.
