Road accident in the north of Toulouse: violent collision between two vehicles, five injured including two children in serious condition

A violent traffic accident occurred this Sunday around 6:15 p.m. on Chemin de Pellausy in Villemur-sur-Tarn, in the north of Toulouse.

Haute-Garonne firefighters were called for a collision between two vehicles, a minivan and a small city car. On site, they took care of nine people.

Two children aged 13 and 6 were trapped in the first car and had to be extricated. They were evacuated to Purpan Children’s Hospital in Toulouse. Their state of health was considered worrying by the emergency services.

The driver of the car, the 44-year-old father, is in serious condition and was airlifted by the Samu. A fourth victim was also taken care of by the emergency services.

An open investigation

In the other car, five people were on board. A 68-year-old man was taken to a hospital for further examinations. The four other uninjured passengers aged around sixty were left behind.

The gendarmes were called and set up a detour route while the emergency services intervened. Impossible for the moment to determine the precise circumstances of this accident. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the community of Fronton brigades.
