  • At the end of the long Ascension weekend, those returning will need a lot of patience again.
  • In front of the Gotthard south portal, cars were backed up over a distance of ten kilometers on Sunday evening, which corresponds to a waiting time of two and a half hours.

Traffic is backing up in front of the Gotthard tunnel heading north from Faido (TI). The TCS traffic service announced that a diversion recommendation was not possible. Because the exits Faido and Quinto (TI) are closed to through traffic due to traffic congestion.

On the A13 towards Chur, between Bellinzona-Nord and Reichenau, there are still traffic jams in several sections.
The passages through the municipalities of Cazis, Rothenbrunnen, Rhäzuns and Bonaduz are blocked. Long waiting times are to be expected.

There had already been long traffic jams for the journey south in front of the Gotthard tunnel on Wednesday and Thursday.
