Return to Parliament postponed further – domestic

Vienna – The return to the 140-year-old parliament building on Vienna’s Ringstrasse has also been delayed. An opening ceremony planned by National Council President Wolfgang Sobotka (ÖVP) for the national holiday on October 26 had to be canceled due to acoustic problems in the newly designed plenary hall. Before January 2023, no plenary session could take place in the renovated Theophil Hansen Building, Sobotka told the “Kurier”.
