A quarter of a century singing the praises of sacred notes
For her latest major project with Laudate Deum, Catherine Berney chose Mendelssohn’s “Lobgesang” symphony, to be applauded on 1is June in Lausanne.

Twenty-five years ago, Catherine Berney knew how to move smoothly from solo singer to choirmaster, by creating the ensemble Praise God, specializing in sacred music. Under the direction of this energetic and warm woman, the choir was a great success, attracting up to 110 singers. Since 2018, the music and human relations enthusiast had already lightened the wing by maintaining only the activities of the choir in chamber formation.
