Benguerir (Province of Rehamna) – The reception ceremony of a Chinese donation consisting of equipment and surgical materials for the benefit of the Provincial Hospital Center (CHP) in Benguerir, took place on Friday, in the presence in particular of members of the Chinese medical mission.
This donation, which illustrates, if need be, the excellence of Sino-Moroccan relations, is likely to contribute to the efforts aimed at improving the health offer at the level of the province of Rehamna, and to provide the CHP with equipment for even to allow this health structure to accomplish its missions in excellent conditions, at the service of the local population.
With a total cost of more than 800,000 DH, this action aims to improve the health offer at the provincial level and to raise the quality of the various medical services offered to the local population.
The donation includes several pieces of equipment and materials for the operating theater and the birthing ward at the CHP in Benguerir.
In a speech for the occasion, the governor of the province of Rehamna, Aziz Bouignane, indicated that the delivery of this donation of equipment by the Chinese medical mission, for the benefit of the CHP in Benguerir, requires “sincere recognition for this support generous” thanks to this health structure.
And to continue that this gesture testifies to the excellence of the Sino-Moroccan bilateral relations and emanates from this spirit of solidarity which characterizes them, noting that this fruitful cooperation extends to several fields in particular, that of health.
The delivery of this medical equipment is also a prelude to fruitful exchanges of expertise and experience between the two parties, said Mr. Bouignane, praising in passing, the great experience accumulated by the Chinese medical mission operating in Benguerir, in the health service improvement service.
The head of the Chinese medical mission in Benguerir, Ma Nan, highlighted the depth of the fruitful ties between the two countries, as well as the quality of the work accomplished by the members of the said mission, alongside their Moroccan counterparts both within the CHP in Benguerir and during medical campaigns organized in distant and remote areas. The goal is to bring the inhabitants of these rural areas closer to medical services and to open them up.
At the microphone of M24, the television channel of continuous information of the MAP, the provincial delegate of Health and Social Protection in Rehamna, Mustapha Jader highlighted the positive impact of this donation on the supply of health, recalling that with regard to this donation, the medical equipment provided was selected on the basis of the needs expressed by the medical staff operating within this Centre.
On another note, he highlighted the work accomplished by the Chinese medical mission operating in Benguerir, which, he said, has to its credit a rich experience of nearly 20 years of service.
In a similar statement, the head of the Chinese medical mission at the Benguerir hospital, Ma Nan, recalled that this mission offers, annually, donations to this CHP, in order to improve the quality of the health offer, reiterating the constant mobilization of its team with a view to improving the care offered to the local population.
After giving a detailed overview of the work of his team, made up of a traumatologist, two gynecologists and two nurses, as well as his missions at the head of this team, he said that the Chinese medical mission is carrying out a series of social activities at the provincial level.
In a presentation devoted to the achievements of the Chinese medical mission, Lamia Sebbar, director of the Provincial Hospital Center in Benguerir, noted that at the national level, the Chinese medical mission has 78 elements spread over 9 cities, namely: Rabat, Meknes, Taza, Chefchaouen, Agadir, Settat, Errachidia, Mohammedia and Benguerir.
And to point out that the Chinese medical mission in Benguerir dates back to 2001, and that the city’s hospital receives a new mission every two years, while this mission has to its credit some 7,836 consultations and 1,722 surgeries.
