Released by the Saskatchewan Roughriders last Friday, Canadian wide receiver Brayden Lenius signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL).
The Réginois had asked the management of the Green and White to release him to obtain a test in the Goodell circuit.
Like I said, it’s a marathon. So keep chasing your dreams, he wrote on his Twitter account along with a photo of him signing his contract.
Brayden Lenius is one of 17 players who have come to an agreement with the Falcons. According to the team’s website, it
will have the chance to break through the roster of 53 players next season by participating in team activities and training camp.
Second-round pick in the 2019 Canadian Football League Draft, Brayden Lenius played two seasons with the Green & White.
In the 2021 season, the Canadian receiver caught 37 passes for gains of 471 passing yards and 4 touchdowns. He added 6 catches for 43 yards in two playoff games.
The Regina-native assists could have become a free agent in February.
