The Realme GT Neo2 was presented in September. Just four weeks later, the successor seems to be on the way. Realme is planning an event on October 19th to showcase the Realme GT Neo2T. The new cell phone was developed in cooperation with the streetwear and sporting goods manufacturer Li-Ning.
The Neo2T seems to be at least partially a new device. This is what the new platform speaks for: A Dimensity 1200 chipset from MediaTek is rumored to be under the hood. The performance of the 6 Nm SoC is roughly on par with the Snapdragon 870, which drives the popular Xiaomi Poco F3 in addition to the normal Neo2.
According to Realme-CMO, the Neo2T is supposed to be “a crossroads of new design processes” thanks to the partnership with Li-Ning. What that means in the end remains to be seen. The sporting goods manufacturer is one of the largest providers in its segment in China. Li Ning is a former gymnast with three gold medals at the 1984 Summer Olympics. The company has sponsored basketball stars such as Shaquille O’Neal, Dwayne Wade and Jimmy Butler.
