Xavi does not get carried away
Despite Barça’s lead over Real Madrid in the league, the Spanish technician believes that the season is not over.
After Barça’s victory against Real Madrid (0-1) on Thursday, Xavi explained in front of the microphones that he was not completely satisfied with the success of his team.
Barça won the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final by winning (1-0) against Real Madrid on Thursday at the Santiago Bernabeu. Despite this, the Catalan coach, Xavi, did not seem fully satisfied with the performance of his team, which he would have liked to see playing much more attacking football.

“The plan was to play in the opposing camp, to win the duels, to dominate the match with the ball… But it happens, some teams can dominate you. We failed to have the necessary patience, thus estimated the Spanish technician. Afterwards, Real almost had no clear chances. It’s important to us, defense is part of the game. But it is not our primary objective. It was not the game we wanted. (…) The team was good, spectacular defensively. It’s an important victory, but Real Madrid remain very strong. For me, Real remains the favourite., he concluded. THE Blaugranas will host Madrid at Camp Nou for the return match on April 5.
