Razer announces the new Barracuda and Barracuda Pro, as well as a new version of the Barracuda X. This further expands the headset series introduced last year.
The flagship of the series will be the new Razer Barracuda Pro, which wants to shine with Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology, among other things. The active noise cancellation can be fine-tuned in three stages via the accompanying Razer Audio app.
Thanks to Razer SmartSwitch Dual Wireless, the Barracuda Pro can be connected to two devices at the same time and switch between them seamlessly. All Barracuda models support both Razer HyperSpeed Wireless (2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.2, making them versatile.
The new Razer TriForce Bio-Cellulose 50mm drivers are designed to deliver a rich, natural and detailed soundscape and feature an integrated amplifier, the THX Achromatic Audio Amplifier (THX AAATM). Also on board: THX Spatial Audio, which is supposed to offer optimal positional sound.
The new Razer Barracuda, on the other hand, features TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers and THX Spatial Audio, as well as Razer SmartSwitch dual wireless connectivity and an integrated noise-cancelling beamforming microphone, along with 40 hours of battery life. It also has an analog jack port.
Rounding out the new additions to the Barracuda family is the relaunched Barracuda X. In addition to Bluetooth, it now also supports Razer SmartSwitch Dual Wireless, while battery life has been doubled to up to 50 hours. Also included is a detachable HyperClear cardioid microphone, 40mm Razer Triforce drivers and support for 7.1 surround sound.
All three models are available now. The Barracuda Pro costs 289.99 euros, the Barracuda costs 189.99 euros and the Barracuda X is available for 119.99 euros.
